Sidewalks & ADA Ramps

The ADA ramps NJ properties are required to provide must meet exact federal and state specs – Beckage pours compliant curb ramps, sidewalks, and walkways built to pass inspection the first time.

Concrete sidewalks, walkways, and ADA-compliant curb ramps for residential and commercial properties across Hunterdon, Somerset, and Warren counties. We pour fresh walkway runs, replace cracked or heaved sections, and install ADA ramps that meet federal and NJ code on the first inspection.

Common questions

How long does new concrete need before use? Foot traffic is usually fine after a couple of days; keep vehicles off for about a week while it cures.

Do you handle permits and inspections? For commercial sidewalk and ADA work we build to code and document the compliance specs so the job passes inspection.

Can you match existing concrete? New panels are matched in finish and joint pattern as closely as possible, though fresh concrete lightens as it cures.

What we install

  • New residential walkways — front, side, and back-of-house paths
  • Commercial sidewalks — perimeter walkways, plaza connectors, walk-up access
  • ADA curb ramps with detectable warning panels (truncated domes)
  • Concrete pads for HVAC, generators, sheds, and dumpster enclosures
  • Sidewalk replacements — heaved, cracked, settled, or trip-hazard panels

ADA ramps done right the first time

ADA compliance trips up more contractors than it should. We pour every commercial ramp to federal and NJ standards:

  • 1:12 maximum slope (8.33%) along the ramp run
  • 1:48 maximum cross-slope
  • Detectable warning surface (truncated domes) at the bottom transition
  • Level landings at the top and bottom (5′ minimum)
  • 36″ minimum clear ramp width

We document the compliance specs on your final invoice so you have a paper trail for inspection.

Repair or replace

  • Trip hazard (height differential more than 1/2″): grind down or replace the panel
  • Tree root heaving: cut out the section, address the roots, repour
  • Single-panel cracking: replace just the affected panel and match the finish
  • Surface scaling: usually cosmetic — can be resurfaced rather than replaced
